This suggests that the xen daemons and in particular xenstored are not<br>
actually running, the result of which will be any command which tries to<br>
talk to xenstored (like xl list, most xl commands and the xenstore-write<br>
seen in the status log) will never get an answer and will appear to<br>
hang.<br>

I don't know what "Fake start-stop-daemon" is, but it sounds like the<br>
root of your problems.<br>
