The question about the cycle tabs option [1] is not so easy.

The default behavior in upstream is to deactivate the cycle tab
(MISC_CYCLE_TAB=FALSE in .config/Terminal/terminalrc) because Benedikt
Meurer thinks it confuses user [2]. Imho the user is more familiar with
the cycle behavior.

What do you think ?

And, by the way, even if MISC_CYCLE_TABS=FALSE we should not have the
characters (~5 etc..) printed on the terminal. I'm going to have a look
at the code but maybe it's in GTK, i dont know.
