Well they're in unstable but not built everywhere now.

We do need a plan.  Ultimately we'll need to migrate to them but I'm
wondering if it's worth waiting until they are almost ready to go into
testing in case there are testing bugfixes we need.

But in any case ema raised the possibility of turning on compositing in
the panel.  I believe that's the only place its supported.

I'm happy to turn it on if it doesn't affect speed when it's off in the
config.  And I think probably we should leave it off in the config
unless a user turns it on.

What do you lot think?
