Yes, I did that way because I didn't wanted to mess with all that and
introduce new experimental things, specially if we are about to freeze
etch.

The PNG thing would be much more complicated since that'd be likely
prone to build bugs since it introduces another step on the build stage.

What I was thinking is just patch slide.h with our, already generated
from our PNG file, slide.h featuring the swirl or whatever we come up
with. This could be done easyly with simple-patchsys, I'll implement
this if you are ok with that.
