[Pkg-xfce-devel] orage dbus usage

Orage Uses DBUS to do 1) import and 2) to add foreign files when it is
already running.

So if you do not have DBUS you can not do:
orage impfile.ics
orage -a new_foreign_file.ics
IF orage is already up and running.

You can always do those when starting orage and orage also
includes user interface to do both operations even without DBUS.

I personally use import feature to add some TV events by clicking
web page directly. This is not possible without DBUS.

I believe those two DBUS dependent versions are used by heavy
users only, so nothing major is lost if you leave them out.

It is also possible to leave out ARCHIVE code. That would save
some memory and is also needed only by people who have more
than a few appointments.
