In fact this was an upstream bug. I'll soon upload a 0.2.3 wich has docs/
under GPLv2 license.

Well I can see in the future, so maybe one day some tool will use it, but
currently none, and no project (publicly) uses it. If it happens one day, I
guess we'll do the split.
