Well, in this BR they say there's no solution coming from HAL. Maybe
policykit can help you (policykit is available in Debian, if you want to
try). I'm not sure thunar is the best place to configure this anyway.

You can edit your fstab if you need too, so “permanent” FAT fs can be
mounted using it.
