Are you *sure* volume management leads to leaks in menu plugin? I fail to see
how it's possible. There may be leaks in xfdesktop code about volume
management, but in the menu code seems to be a bit odd.

Could you provide valgrind logs with debugging symbols for each of the cases
you noticed leaks? It'd be really appreciated.
