This particular bug needs to be fixed in lenny, IMO. I'd not noticed that
switching off compositing is a workaround, though I had noticed that not
using full-screen mode avoids the problem; however, some games default to
full-screen and only provide switches in their configuration files (not
always obvious until you've run it and actually *have* the configuration
file) or via a menu.

Now imagine that you have unsaved stuff which you can't easily save any more
due to no longer being able to see the windows...

I think that "important" is the right severity for this one, but I'll leave
that to you now.
