We have the need for customized buttons (in fact, an entry in the menu near the shutdown button) which can provide the reconfiguration of the box (delete all users files and do some reconfiguration stuff).

No, It's not related to debian, but I think it's up to debian to choose between a debian-modified version or to report it upstream.
