Oh. So no way to have some xfce4-session related fixes. But my guess is
having a session manager with xfce4-panel correctly registered would
help (at least the issue is not really frequent in usual Xfce setups)

The code in xfce4-panel was heavily changed in 4.10, and it seems it's
not easily possible to backport the fixes in 4.8
