[Pkg-xfce-devel] Bug#689056: Shell output freeze during significant text output

When a terminal instance is used with no tabs (just the one shell) and 
significant output is posted to the terminal, printing of the output 
freezes - the command then no longer responds to Cntrl+C.

I discovered this whilst working on sfv checking functionality in 
animecheck (https://github.com/OmegaPhil/animecheck/issues/7) - when 
verifying the hashes of 189 files, terminal would randomly stop printing 
output.

I then added tracing to the python instance to see whether python was 
stalling in my code, for example:

python -m trace --trace animecheck.py --checksum-read-mode '<sfv file path>'

And amazingly the output would stop part-way through the trace output of 
the current line of python code that was supposed to be running :) 
Example screenshot attached. The precise failure point changes each time 
- I imagine this would be triggered with other significant text output.

I then tested in the second tab of a terminal instance - no failure. 
ROXTerm succeeded in printing the output in all circumstances (looks 
like I'll be moving to this terminal now).
