[Pkg-xfce-devel] Bug#698279: [xfce4-panel] The xfce4-pannel clock after a while does not show the current date when hovering over

After booting this computer the Xfce4-panel clock will show the current 
date if i hover over the applet's window. After using this computer a 
while this is no longer true. I do not know yet to specify this "while" 
more precisely. May be it is related to suspend-to-disk. Right-click > 
Properties still shows the correct current date though.
