First, it can sound as good reason, but trace last login is job for
another tool(s). By *nix philosophy one tool has to do one job.

Second, it does not work as you described. I created second account in
VM (virtual machine), selected this second account and login into it.
Then i reboot machine. While timeout i can see the login window with
the second account preselected and then autologin take its job.
Then i logout from aoutologin account and login back to it, then i
reboot the VM. After reboot is the autologin account preselected
and the autologin doesn't happen then.

And finally third, the autologin always happens when timeout is 0,
then nothing is traced.

By this, your solution track, that i (autologin account) was logged in,
but do not track, when the another account was logged in. Or does track
absolutely nothing. IMO it only breaks the autologin proces.

It is time to continue with another DM and leave this tracking system
for all NSA's lovers.

See attached screenshot from VM... The numbers are not a part of
password, of course, they only demonstrate the showed plain text.
