[Python-apps-team] Bug#525575: mayavi2: ExtractGrid filter causes errors (traceback, ...)

Hi!

I noticed another bug in Mayavi2.
Steps to reproduce:

  $ mayavi2 -d /usr/share/doc/mayavi2/examples/mayavi/data/heart.vtk \
    > tmp/mayavi2.out 2> tmp/mayavi2.err

The main window shows up.

  * select Add module or filter in the Mayavi pane
  * from the Mayavi object editor, select the Processing filters tab
    and click on Extract Grid, and then on the + Extract Grid button

The mouse arrow turns into a waiting symbol (e.g.: a watch, or something
else, depending on your window manager configuration and theme...).
The program still seems to be usable, but the waiting symbol won't
go away, apparently.  I am not completely sure about the correctness
of the program behavior, after this error occurs.

  * exit

File mayavi2.out is empty.
File mayavi2.err contains several lines of error messages:
you should find it attached to this bug report.

Please investigate this bug and forward it to upstream,
as appropriate.
