I'm afraid I've misled you, I actually ran reportbug to follow up from
a different system to the one which has the problem (I can't run
reportbug there for various reasons and the system I did run it on I
don't use QL on) but failed to update or redact the various bits
describing the system.

The versions from the affected system (a more or less up to date
testing system at the time I initially wrote  to the bug) are actually:
