Having backup would be nice, yes.

While most of the info in the DB can be reconstructed from scratch
reimporting data from Debian mirrors and archive.d.o, some of them could
not, e.g., the historical growth trends of sources.d.o itself.

If backing up all of it is too onerous in terms of space, we can provide
a list of tables that should be backuped. However, not having a backup
of the rest would induce longer recovery times if sh*t happens
(reimporting the entire archive into sources.d.n takes ~2 weeks on the
current hardware).
