estron (the new name for DWI) is now available at Alioth.
I'm still working on the code - mainly improving the autotools
behaviour, removing compiler warnings and preparing some rough Debian
packages. I'm also working on reintegrating estron and QOF for libqof2.
SVN is available:
svn co svn+ssh://username@svn.debian.org/svn/estron/ estron
svn co svn://svn.debian.org/svn/estron/ estron
To just check out the debian source:
svn co svn://svn.debian.org/svn/estron/trunk/debian estron
(SVN includes all the previous CVS history.)
An ikiwiki is also available:
http://estron.alioth.debian.org/
The wiki is still being written - content will continue to be added as
time goes on. (The old DWI site will soon redirect to the estron wiki
but the content of the DWI site remains available for migration.)
Estron is fairly small and is able to use QOF so estron uses this
mailing list.
Alternatively, use the estron bug trackers provided by alioth.
The use of Debian hosting is merely convenient for upstream development
and a considerable improvement from Sourceforge. Estron is not
restricted to any particular distribution or native to Debian in any
way.
The first release of estron from alioth (0.7.0) is likely to coincide
with the release of QOF (0.8.0) and the libqof1->libqof2 transition.
This, in turn, will happen after Debian lenny is released to give me
time to fix the remaining issues in the QOF GDA backend and to improve
estron to a point where applications like QuickList can use it and
hopefully act as a GUI for the creation of estron files (aka dui files).
estron source builds the estron interpreter, libestron0, libestron-dev,
libestron-dbg and libestron-doc - at least, that is my preferred Debian
layout.
