| A question while downloading: quantian.vmx has a lot of address info in
| it. Do these need to be customized to suit my machine?
| If so, which entries? and what are they asking for?
I didn't change anything. On startup at the first time, it complained about
the UID. I accepted a new UID with the "create" button in the bottom right.
It is quite possible that this "phones home" to vmware and hence notices that
it is no longer unique.
Other than that, the only change I made is to quantian_0.7.9.1.iso as my
local copy is lowercased ...
| I find the VMware site hard to navigate. Couldn't even find a mention
| of vmx files.
|
| (Maybe this will be obvious when I try it, but it's sure to be a FAQ :) )
Yes, so thanks for bringing it up here.
