No dice here.
I get two different messages ... not sure when I get one and when I get
the other.
"No bootable CD ... found"
"file quantian.iso not found"
quantian.iso is in C:\
the spelling is OK.
The ubuntu/firefox demo that VMware ships works great. It's really cool.
I was given the offer to change the UID before I got your response. I
chose "keep". I would try to change it, but it's not asking me again.
Does this approach offer the possibility of installing Quantian on a VM,
giving the option of installing or updating software (persistantly)?
I can't persue this right now ... more later. I'm wondering if I have
some kind of HD recognition problem. I can't use bootfrom either, if
you recall. This is a Thinkpad, and it has that hidden partition ...
but the previous Quantian had no problem. Do you know anything about
the syntax "ide0.1.fileName=" ? OK... When I get back to this I'll
start reading the VMware docs. :)
