Just to clarify: You wish to netboot the laptop so that you can subsequently
run knoppix-installer aka knx2hd to install to disk ?

Again, just to be plain, you know you could also copy the .iso over to the
laptop and then setup grub or lilo to boot that iso as per some of the other
HOWTOs. That would give you Quantian to boot from on the laptop. You could
then run knx2hd as well.

| DHCP Broadcasting for IP address... Operation failed. [three times]
| No answer from network.
| Can't NFSmount KNOPPIX filesystem, sorry.
| Dropping you to a (very limited) shell.
| ...
|
| And indeed, the shell is very limited!
|
| If someone has a suggestion, this will be welcome.

Which version of Quantian? 0.6.9.3? That version works rather reliably
between my two laptops -- make sure you enable the network card of you
laptop, though. You should see a message that the appropriate module has
been loaded and configured.

Regards, Dirk
