In fact, that way we could to stick a patched 2.6.12 kernel back into
Quantian. May well be easier than to jump wholesale to 2.6.15.

You should have everything you need. /usr/src has the expanded 2.6.12
sources.  With a bit of luck, the patch may apply against them.  Otherwise
source for Knoppix are at http://debian-knoppix.alioth.debian.org/ and a few
other places.
