Hi,
As far as I know, quantian is based in knoppix and that on debian.
Knoppix in turn, is not indicated by them selves - knoppix maintainers -
to be used as a hard insatall.
If you look in the quantian howtos, you'll probably find this link:
http://dirk.eddelbuettel.com/quantian/howto_lilogrub.html
where you can downlaod the DVD size .iso file on a hd partition and boot
the node from its local HD where this .iso file is stored.
