[Quantian-general] network card configuration

Hello,

I've downloaded the iso Quantian_0.7.9.2.iso and to ran on my PC (mobo:
intel 975xbx, processor: Pentium D 940).

All is working fine with the exception of the network card (intel 82573
Gigabit Ethernet LAN).

I've followed intel's instructions on how to compile the drivers of this 

network card
(http://downloadmirror.intel.com/df-support/9180/ENG/README.txt).

However, I'm having problems to load the newly compiled drivers.

Load the module using either the insmod or modprobe command:

     modprobe e100

     insmod /lib/modules/2.6.12/kernel/drivers/net/e100/e100.ko

yield either

FATAL: Error inserting e100
(/lib/modules/2.6.12/kernel/drivers/net/e100/e100.ko): Invalid module format

Or 

insmod: error inserting 'insmod
/lib/modules/2.6.12/kernel/drivers/net/e100/e100.ko': -1 Invalid module
format

Any help on how to solve this will be much appreciated.
