[Quantian-general] chroot from quantian to other linux os

using Quantian_0.7.9.2.iso booted as per quantian lilogrubhowto

when working from quantian it is possible to
chroot to my main linux os, fc5

as root
chroot /mnt/sda1 (mounted location of my fc5)

doing the following 2 cmds from quantian
also allows X in the fc5chroot:

root at 0[root]# mount --bind /tmp /mnt/sda1/tmp
root at 0[root]# xhost local:localhost

then inside the fc5 chroot, i can eg run emacs and
get a normal emacs xwindow.

I do this type of chroot operation from fc5
 often for accessing legacy app
in an old rh8 install i also have;
allows access to legacy app under rh8 without rebooting.

it seems this is a good way to have quantian
booted up via the iso
and also have my fc5 available without rebooting.

Any comments re this practice, pitfalls?

Jack
