[Quantian-general] vmplayer quantian knx2hd trouble

I have in recent days been running quantian792.iso  booted asper grublilo
howto


Now trying to use vmplayer to run quantian0.7.9.2.iso  from my linux fc5
as per the quantianvmplayer howto

my trouble:
when i try the  command  knx2hd
it tells me
| the installer detected that the installation
| reqrmnt not fullfilled yet

| please make sure that you have a free prtn w
| at leat 8gb to install knoppix on...

but i have already done the cfdisk and mkefs  ...see below

so at this point the knx2hd wont let me do anything else
except go to the partitioner qtparted,
so at this point i just quit knx2hd



what follows is sketch of what i went thru:


i had some initial trouble re  vmmon,but finally got around that
and then i finally put the  .vmx   and the  .vmdk  and the quantian.iso
all in same dir  /home/byers/Desktop
and the vmplayer install finished, said it was all ok

but running into trouble running vmplayer

initially it failed w something re pxe ...
was able somehow to kick it  and it started up
the familiar quantian window started

i then in a quantian terminal window tried tofollow the
howto instructions

i did cfdisk and it seemed to work

all of following within that quantian terminal window:

discrepancy w howto:
  i cant see any hdc1 icon to click after doing the cfdisk
 so i manually mount it on /mnt/hdc1

the other thing is, in many ways it already looks
configured  ie i can get a terminal up
and can use   firefox, can go to google, so network is up

can this be some holdover from running this same quantianiso
already via the lilogrub boot method?
