Did you read the appropriate howto, in this case

	http://dirk.eddelbuettel.com/quantian/howto_winboot.html

It explains that you would place the (large, dvd-sized) iso somewhere,
e.g. in

	/dev/sda5/quantian.iso

and then *boot using a corresponding cdrom*, in this case a Knoppix 4.0 cdrom
so that the same kernel is used, and redirect that cdrom at its boot prompt
to switch usuing

	knoppix bootfrom=/dev/sda5/quantian.iso

That worked for me.  From your text, I am not sure if you used the same
approach or something else.
