[Quantian-general] openMosix not working with first node in cluster

Dear All,

I've got a small cluster of 5 PCs running Quantian, the first node loads
the latest Quantian ISO from harddrive using a clusterKnoppix "boot" CD.
The other 4 PCs then network boot via PXE. The network boot machines
work perfectly, but the first machine (running the KNOPPIX openMosix
terminal server) does not even see itself in the openMosix application.

I have read in the archives of this group that there is a known problem
with openMosix and the 2.6 kernel (which I've read is the default boot
option for the latest Quantian release). I have tried the following
commands at the boot prompt with the same effect:
knoppix bootfrom=/dev/hda2/quantian.iso
linux24 bootfrom=/dev/hda2/quantian.iso

Is there something that I've missed out causing the loss of functionality?

Thanks,
Dave
