There are two separate issues here, though they appear to be commingled:

i)  Wim pretty much retired from clusterKnoppix in 2004
ii) openMosix never released a production-level patch for 2.6 kernels, though
    the team insists they are "close".

So we may have to do parallel work explicitly using MPI, PVM, ... just like
parallelKnoppix.
