When I played with Quantian and openmosix my initial mistake was not
starting the correct kernel that openmosix needed - from my memory its
not the default Quantian kernel. I used a laptop and desktop connected
with a crossover ethernet cable. It took some trial and error to get
openmosix to see the the other machine. Eventially I could distribute
simple compute intensive jobs but never tried R. This link mentions R
and openmosix
http://www.mail-archive.com/r-help@stat.math.ethz.ch/msg19406.html .
What have you tried so far?
Nigel
