Hi everyone,

The first pre-release of sane-backends 1.0.13 is available at
ftp://ftp.mostang.com/pub/sane/sane-backends-1.0.13-pre1.tar.gz .

I'll attach the NEWS file for an overview of the changes.
Please test this snapshot on every available platform and report bugs
to our bug-tracking system or to the sane-devel mailing list.

The following bugs are known and already fixed in CVS. They will also
be fixed in the next pre-release.

- Static linking doesn't work (missing sanei_pp symbols)
- Compilation of saned breaks on *BSDs
- saned subnet support doesn't work correctly on little-endian systems

For questions and comments, please follow-up to the sane-devel mailing
list (sane-devel@lists.alioth.debian.org).

Happy scanning!

Henning
