[sane-devel] 2.4.16 freeze on opening /dev/usb/scanner0

Same here with the plustek backend (for my Mustek Bearpaw scanners). I
don't have this problem with 2.4.10. Since 2.4.13 the kernel freezes.
I haven't tested 2.4.11 and 12 yet. I don't know, what's wrong.
