[sane-devel] hp-backend not compiled with PTAL support

I keep getting this message.  Are there specific
instructions for compiling the hp backend with PTAL
support?

I have the hpoj software installed and working OK with
my OfficeJet V40.

I did run ./configure --with-ptal=/usr/local/hpoj
--prefix=/usr/local/sane

but this did not help.
