What ever happened with the Canno Scan N650U ?

Is there anything going on there ?... 

I have not been able to get anything going there.  I would be willing to
test anthing that ppl have got.  I have 1.0.8 and tried the plustek,
canon630u backends but they don't work.

I have got Jason Millward's commandline app

to work in FreeBSD 4.6, although it was not much of feat...
