[sane-devel] One last try

Linux will never improve in that area. No one will be able to meet you on
your level and will constantly refer you to rtfq. I'm afraid that you still
need to be a rocket science graduate with thick rimmed spectacles and no
girlfriend to be able to come to terms with scanners under Linux. Unless you
have SuSE 7.3 an Epson USB scanner and a free weekend that is ;-) Why not get
an Epson and save yourself a lot of misery? From what you say you are still
miles away from the HP working and forget it scanning from gimp. that takes 2
years. Any old 640U works right out of the box. You can pick them up for next
to nothing in supermarket chains.

Now this message should have just ruffled enough feathers of the rocket
science scanner graduates to get you the help you need. If not, give us a
buzz. Me? I use Umax.

Best wishes and good luck from a realistic Steve, Alicante, España.

BTW what is 1.07 Sane?
