From the previous mails you have sent I suspect that tehre is a bug in

either the Linux USB scanner driver (scanner.c) or one of the other
core systems. By which backend do you think is the scanner supported?
Maybe the developer of this backend has experiences with such a kind
of bug?

Otherwis I would ask the Linux kernel USB maintainers about this. Are
you sure that the scanner hardware itsself is working?
