/dev/sga? Didn't you write that you enters /dev/sg1 into the config
file? Check that really only /dev/sg1 is in snapscan.conf. Also check
that there is no othet snapscan.conf (e.g. in the current directory).

Probably the device file /dev/sga soen't exist or has the wron
permissions. But as it's nor your scanner this shouldn't matter.
