[sane-devel] canon

Hi!

i have cnon N640P paralell scanner. can i use it with sane (xsane)? 
on the http://canon-fb330p.sourceforge.net/ page i read this:
"Currenly Supported:
* FB630P, FB330P, N640P and N340P scanners"

on this page: http://www.buzzard.org.uk/jonathan/scanners.html
i read this:
"No backend currently exists. It is unknown whether the manufacture will
provide the documentation needed to write a driver."

so, my question is: can i use somehow the canon scanner under linux
(width xsane) or not? :)
