This is a form letter that they send out for all Linux
enquirees.  I recieved a reply in the exact same
format, and contacted HP tech support.  They were no
help whatsoever.

However, I have placed a call once again to try to
start a dialog.

So can someone in the US contact US technical support.
I doubt New Zealand
support will be much help. If no-one can do that, I
can try from NZ.
