Thanks, but just because I slowly get by with just one mouse button does
not yet make me an expert. I sent some more information about what goes
wrong to the libusb mailing list, but so far without a response.

I used the compiler/linker/whatever that comes with OS X: gcc 3.1 and frien=
ds.
