This is probably OK, I get -7 on my iMac, and - depending on what else
I did with the system before - sometimes I can actually open the device,
but it will every write operation will fail.

There are problems with libusb on OS X, and I don't think it makes a lot
of sense to try to get our stuff working without a working libusb.
