Thanks to everyone for their replies. I have now got it working as root.=20 However, when I log in as a user it can't find the scanner. I have checke= d=20 file access preferences on all the configuration files that I can think o= f,=20 but to no avail.=20 Has anyone else had this problem? Regards, Brad
