Greetings All,
=20
I am currently using FreeBSD 4.7 as my os, and recently purchased and
Epson 1660 USB color scanner. My hope was to purchase a scanner that
was compatiable with Sane Backends. All the lists that I search for say
that the backends will work with my scanner. I have run the
=91sane-find-scanner=92 utility and it returns the following:
=20
Found USB scanner (vendor=3D0x04b8, product=3D0x011e) at
libusb:/dev/usb0:/dev/ugen0
=20
The next few lines go on to say that a USB device was detected but that
it can=92t be sure that it=92s a scanner to try =91scanimage =96L=92. =
So I do and
it returns the following:
=20
No scanners were identified. If you were expecting
something different check that the scanner is plugged =85
=20
When I pull the USB cable out from the back of the computer it returns
the following:
=20
ugen0: at uhub0 port 1 (addr 2) disconnected
ugen0: detached
=20
When I plug the USB cable back in it returns the following:
=20
Ugen0: EPSON EPSON Scanner, rev 2.00/1.00, addr 2
=20
What gives? Any ideas anyone? Please help.
