Just for your information.

I got the scanner working in grayscale in duplex by using saned
and my Java Program which uses the Sane Network Protocol.

I am setting up a website to host the work done by me for using
the Sane Network Protocol from Java. Once I have put some documentaion
together and uploded it to the website I will let the list know the
address.
