[sane-devel] scanner setup problem

"man sane-gt68xx" tells you where to put the firmware. Just copy it to
that location. If the directory doesn't exist, create it. The file
must be readable by everyone.

After that, start to scan with any frontend you like (xsane,
scanimage, xscanimage, ...).

If scanning works only as root you must set up permissions as
explained here:
