[sane-devel] Is USB 2 for Epson scanners really only for factory installed Windows 2000/XP?

Hello, Everyone :)
I just purchased an Epson Perfection 2400 PHOTO Scanner, and it hasn't
arrived yet, hence this question.  I was just perusing the Epson
website, and it says that "USB 2.0 available for factory installed
Windows 2000 and XP only."  Is this really true, or is it some kind of
bad joke?  Just curious, since USB 2 connectivity was not my main reason
for choosing this scanner.

For your information, I am running Fedora Core 2
