Hello Hubert.

When you say xsane does crash often on your system then
please describe a way I can reproduce a crash.
I need an exact description from startup of xsane, please
describe every button you press and every mouse click.

I also need the preferences files ~/.sane/xsane/xsane.rc
and the *.drc file of your scanner in the same directory.

Please also give the following information:
- scanner vendor and type
- sane-backends-version and version of the backend when you applied any
patches
- gtk+, glib and gimp versions

Please send the files to me directly, not to the list.

Oliver
