[sane-devel] How to start SANE and setup scanner

Hi Henning,

Tks for your advice.

You are right.  The Operating System is FedoraCore2.

This is an old PC and also this is an old scanner
connected to an ISA SCSI card. The scanner was working
on this box on SANE previously when it ran RedHat 8/9
(I could not remember exactly).  Until recently I
changed Redhat to FC2.  I rarely use the scanner.  It
just stands idle there.  

This PC also has another hard drive (removable)
running WinME.  The scanner is still working on it.   

Previously I setup and made this scanner working on
SANE.  Sorry, because it was already about 2/3 years
ago. I could not remember how to do it again.  

Please shed me some light where to start.  How to
check whether the ISA SCSI controller detected? 
Permissions set correctly
