[sane-devel] No Desktop icon & Xsane won't close with "x"." Not responding"

Hi Oliver. Thanks for the reply. Its definately a "Not Responding" box. I 
click on close, it hangs for a few seconds, then brings up the box. Yet if I 
open Xsane and close it straight away without doing any work it closes ok. I 
admit it does sound like theres still an image file open.
