[sane-devel] Information required about sane

Dear Sir,

I am Rajesh working in Premier evolvics, Coimbatore -
India.

My project consists of an application where I have to
scan a moving material with EPSON PERFECTION 1670. I
am using sane-backends to interface the scanner. I
have downloaded the source code and I have configured
the scanner. Presently the application requires only
one line to be scanned without the movement of motor. 

Below are the list of tasks to be performed to acquire
the image:

1) Motor should not move at any instant of time.
2) Only one line has to be scanned with configurable
resolution.

For example, now I am using this command

scanimage --resolution=300 -y=1 > sample.pnm

Here the scanner bulb warms up, moves forward for 1mm
and scans the image and puts in a file and exits.
My requirement is such that, the scanner should be
stationary (motor should not work). 

Please specify the changes to be done in the source
code to acheive the same.

I will be thankful for all the help you extend to
accomplish this task.
